Ceau, Cinema!, on count

How have the last ten years looked like, countingly? How many films were seen in the festival, what are the connections between them, how many cinephiles came to the screenings, how many kilos of watermelon were eaten (ok, maybe we don’t know, but probably many kilos)?

The interactive exhibition tries to make a brief assessment of the first ten years and to show how juicy the festival is.

How? We sat and counted, we rummaged through the archives, we relied on last year’s anniversary book-album, “Ceau, Cinema! Behind the scenes”, written by Lucian Mircu.

Then we started processing data and making visuals – boring, but hey, in the end we got an overview, the macro-cosmos Ceau, Cinema! Really, it does look like a cosmos.

The exhibition is created by three students, newly joined the festival team (Ioana Satmari, Eric Szilveszter and Fabian Leiba) and is the first project in a larger series they are working on. It’s a prototype. Or, in other words – a slice.
