Ceau, Junior!

The section of films for children and the whole family is expanding. This year, the Ceau, Junior! program proposes films in traditional spaces such as Cinema Victoria and Faber, but, for the first time, also at Cinema Johnny, opened at the end of last year, and in the Regina Maria Park, where the outdoor screenings that were previously held in Traian Square will take place.

For the second year in a row, Ceau, Cinema! also reaches the Kuncz Social Services Complex, through a partnership with the Social Assistance Directorate of the Municipality of Timișoara.

The international partner in 2026 is the Oulu International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Finland. Launched in 1982 and held every year in November, the festival will be represented at Ceau, Cinema! by two of the members of the organizing team, Marja Seppänen and Mika Anttolainen.

Synopsis:

Something mysterious has taken place near house number 42 on Pumpputie. On his way to school, Henkka finds something extraordinary and suspects that a crime has been committed. As they are searching for evidence and interrogating the neighbourhood, they notice that something else is going on — someone is stealing mailboxes! And so, the detectives have two different cases on their hands: trying to capture the criminals and bringing them to justice.

Synopsis:

Ten-year-old Filip travels with his father to the nearest town to buy new shoes for school. When his father gets sidetracked by an old friend, Filip has to find his way around on his own. A simple mistake at the shoe shop – buying two right-footed shoes – sets him off on an unexpected adventure through an unfamiliar world. Too ashamed to return home empty-handed, Filip decides to fix the problem himself. Along the way, he befriends a stray dog, whom he names after his favourite football player, and finds an unlikely companion. Synopsis:

Amélie is born into a vegetative state to a Belgian family living in Kobe, Japan. Amélie believes her condition makes her a god to everyone around her. On her second birthday, an earthquake causes her to break free of her vegetative state. She soon becomes frustrated with her family, causing her father Patrick to call for a nanny. Nishio-san arrives and a deep friendship develops between them.
